Maze-X Pipe - Waterless Filtering and Cooling Pipe

I recently bought this because I have asthma/allergies and have been coughing up my lungs recently. Coughing so much made my TMJ worse. Over the years I've probably done a number on my lungs as well. I found that I couldn't take full hits anymore and was wasting weed.

I read reviews online for this pipe which were hit or miss. I think it depends on ones priorities. I was hesitant to buy at first but am so so so glad I did.

1. This pipe legitimately cools the smoke to an acceptable level. You are supposed to take smaller puffs which I think deters people who are looking for a heavier hit. For me personally, I can fully inhale again without a large burning sensation and only cough minimally if I decide to rip it. My TMJ has reduced and my lungs feel healthier. This is a game changer and I feel like I've gotten more out of my bud as well.

2. The filter on this reduces the tar/debris inhaled and I am not coughing up tar anymore. I also have the added carbon filters. This reduces the strength of the hit but I really like them too. They feel like they make a difference.

3. I like the design of the pipe for the most part. The silicon outer layer prevents my clumsy self from breaking the bowl. I like that the bowl is removable and the parts detach. Cleaning it was a little less convenient but that is to be expected with more components. The glass bowl gets clogged relatively easy but I found a toothpicks works well to poke out the resin. Not the worst thing ever.

I was skeptical at first because the input online I've seen is that it is not as effective as a vaporizer. To me, that's a given because you are inhaling smoke instead of vapor. To me, this pipe excels at doing what it is advertised for. I don't usually splurge but am extremely happy with my purchase and my lungs are too. I would highly recommend for those with sensitive lungs or for a smoking experience that involves a smoother and cooler hit.

Cool, tasty smoke. Easy to clean. Well designed. Best with the available filters.

But found I didn’t want a whole one and relighting seemed to cause a great deal of loss of herb. Plus, grinding, rolling etc. I used biodegradable filters with my joints and I really liked that.
Weedgets is a reasonably compact, less breakable (except bowls - but bowls are easy to store safely or to replace) pipe.

I was looking for something without bong water, doesn’t tip over, bigger than a one hitter but less than a joint - that also uses a filter and is easy to clean.

This system is perfect for me.

My experience using the max x pipe with filters was great. It truly softens the harshness of the smoke and no coughing! The filters are a true game changer while smoking your favs. I haven’t used the bowl yet, just the tip with a filter and a rolled favorite. It works!! I recommend this pipe and filters, probably will get another one soon for Christmas for a friend.
