How Weedgets Is Changing The Industry: Better Protection For Your Lungs!
Florida-based devices brand Weedgets is on a mission to help consumers find the healthiest ways to smoke. Founder Michael Barenboym shares how Weedgets protects the lungs and pioneers the cannabis tech game.
For stoners around the world, smoking has become way more than a hobby, itâs a lifestyle. As we continue to inhale the smoke into our lungs, we canât help but wonder if there are healthier ways to do it.Â
Florida-based Weedgets is a brand on a mission to do just that, with an ethos to ensure the smoothest hit possible with each inhale. Best known for its innovative smoking devices, Weedgets removes the worst parts of smoking: harsh throat burn and unnecessary debris, utilizing waterless smoke filtering and cooling technology.
What Is Weedgets?
Weedgets is committed to promoting the health benefits of the flower, including its terpene profiles and healing properties. Its flagship product, the MAZE-X Pipe, is designed to make your smoking experience as safe as possible through its carbon filters and dual-cooling chamber, which drops the temperature in real-time to ensure lungs donât react â coughing â to the heat.Â
Weedgets Founder Michael Barenboym Talks Brand's Game-Changing Role In Lung Protection And Cannabis Tech
Honeysuckle Magazine spoke with the brandâs founder Michael Barenboym, a world-renowned medical-device engineer and designer, whoâs spent over 3.5 decades developing life-saving technologies, to find out how he was inspired to create the devices and what his plans are for the future of safe consumption.
SHIRLEY JU: When did you first get the idea for Weedgets?
MICHAEL BARENBOYM: My kids started using cannabis in high school and coughed a lot (who doesnât) from joints, prerolls, and pipes. Simply forbidding them from smoking wouldnât work, so I designed smoke filtering and cooling filter tips to help lessen coughing and protect their trachea (the windpipe that connects the throat to the lungs). This change resulted in smoother hits, ultimately prompting them to quit smoking without it. I introduced the device to friends and family, they all loved it, and the rest is history.
What's the meaning behind the name?
So my devices are all small mechanical gadgets in the cannabis industry. I decided to call them with the same pronunciation but replaced the letter "I" with "EE".
Weedgets = WEEDGETS [wee-jits]
Why is Weedgets a game-changer for the cannabis community as a whole?
Weedgets is the first company to focus primarily on smoke filtering and cooling. We want people to enjoy the smoke through safer and more pleasant inhalation.Â
What does it mean to be the only medical-grade cannabis company?
Every product we design and manufacture enhances and improves inhalation from a medical perspective. Cooler smoke equals less trachea and pathway irritation; filtration of the smoke provides safer hits for your lungs. We design features for healthier cannabis consumption without losing the rapid onset effect.
What devices do you offer and what do they do?
We have a range of products to suit different consumption preferences. Our Filter Tips are tailored for joints, blunts, pre-rolls, one-hitters, and small chillums. Additionally, we offer smoke-filtering pipes and accessories such as smell-proof doob tubes and carrying cases for convenient on-the-go use. Our cannabis smoking accessories are designed to allow you to enjoy your cannabis wherever life finds you!
What are you most excited about next?
We are always working on improving our products to make them more user-friendly, with a focus on simplifying the cleaning process. This year, we have exciting plans to develop a new one-hitter and bong system to enhance the safety and enjoyment of cannabis smoke.
